This new work by Rob Gibb is inspired by Dante’s “The Divine Comedy”.

Rob has taken aspects of the text and the notional point of view that these could be considered psychotic experiences.

The self-revelation and confrontation inherent in the psychotic, unfolds through a series of images that are allegorical and dream-like. This aspect of inner self-knowledge and realisation is at once disturbing and yet cleansing, for although this work has a peculiar melancholy there is no sense in which fear is the underlying motivation.
